This corporation is a nonprofit public benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for charitable purposes. 
 
The specific purpose of this corporation is to advance education by (a) enhancing the educational, vocational, and co-curricular opportunities for students of the Plumas County Office of Education ("District") by supporting elementary, middle and high school athletic programs; student field trips; science, visual and performing arts programs; middle and high school graduation/promotion ceremonies; student scholarships; and after-school and general classroom programs; (b) providing professional development opportunities for teachers of the District so that they can better support future generations of students; (c) assisting the District's nonteaching staff so that they may obtain permanent teaching credentials; (d) providing mentoring programs for District principals; and (e) retaining qualified teachers who might otherwise have to leave the District because of lack of affordable housing through the development and operation of affordable faculty housing.
