Kindergarten Roundups are FREE to all incoming Plumas County Transitional Kindergarteners and Kindergarteners - including students going to the Christian and Charter Schools. Round-Ups happen in each community, at the different PUSD elementary schools in the Spring of every year.

 

 

The Round-Ups for both K/TK happen at the same time and include the following: 

1. Free health exams! (Up to a $200 value)* 
*Meets the required California School Entry Health Exam -includes dental and vision checks. 
2. Activities, resources, and free school supplies.
3. Help Enrolling Online

Please allow at least 1 1/2 hours to complete!!
 
A parent must accompany children.
 
Bring your child’s immunization record.
 
There is no pre-registration required, just show up at the designated school site and be served!  
 
(If parents decide not to attend the K- roundups a physical and dental exam must still be done elsewhere and documentation provided to the school upon enrollment)

 

 
 

Kindergarten Immunization & Physical Exam Requirements

          1. Immunization requirements are:                                                                                            

                    · 5 DTaPs                                                                                                                      

                    · 4 Polio                                                                                                                         

                    · 3 Hepatitis B                                                                                                               

                    · 2 MMR                                                                                                                       

                    · 2 Varicella (Chicken Pox)                                                                                          

           2. Physical exam requirement:                                                                                              

You may choose to schedule a physical with your own doctor. If so, please provide a copy of your incoming Kindergartner’s physical exam dated no earlier than March of the year your child is entering school in the Fall.

           3. Dental exam requirement:                                                                                                 

You may choose to schedule a dental exam with your own dentist. If so, please provide a copy of your incoming Kindergartner’s dental checkup dated no earlier than August before they enter school and no later than May 31st of the first year your student is in school.


 

*Children will not be enrolled unless an immunization record is presented and immunizations are up-to-date. As of January 2016 personal belief and religious exemptions are no longer allowed in California.

** Kindergarten:
Child turns 5 years old on or before September 1, 2023
*** Transitional Kindergarten:  
Child turns 5 years old between September 2, 2023 - March 31, 2024
