Farm to School

USDA’s Farm to School Grant funds school districts, state and local agencies, Indian tribal organizations, agricultural producers, and non-profit organizations in their efforts to increase local foods served through child nutrition programs, teach children about food and agriculture through garden and classroom education, and develop schools’ and farmers’ capacities to participate in farm to school.

Through this grant, Plumas County Office of Education and Plumas Unified School District have been able to implement the Farm to School Program, which provides support for sourcing locally as well as regionally. Below are some of the local farms we have established relationships with and continue to procure fresh products from when seasonally available.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at the Filing a Program Discrimination Complaint as a USDA Customer page, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
