Transportation Update

Dear PUSD Staff and Families,


We are writing to provide a follow-up update regarding student transportation.


Based on our current staffing capacity, Plumas Unified School District will reduce general education
transportation to one general education route per community, starting 1/5/26. In addition, special
education transportation will continue to operate as normal.


Please review updated routes on the website, on ParentSquare, or on Facebook which outline the
adjusted general education routes for each community. Chester’s route will remain the same. The
SPED routes will also remain the same.


We recognize that these changes may cause inconvenience and appreciate your flexibility and
understanding as we work through this challenging situation. The District continues to actively
explore solutions to stabilize transportation services and will communicate promptly if additional
changes become necessary.
