Driver Education Online Course

You must be at least 15 years old to enroll in this course, no exceptions.
 
The new Driver Education Online Course is now available and offered free of charge by Plumas Unified School District to students currently enrolled at PUSD high schools:
      • Chester Jr/Sr High School
      • Greenville Jr/Sr High School
      • Quincy Jr/Sr High School
      • Portola Jr/Sr High School
      • Jim Beckwourth High School
      • Plumas County Community School
  • Please register with your school email NOT your personal email address.
  • This is a 30 hour DMV approved online driver’s education course. After course completion, a Certificate of Completion for Driver Education will be sent to the student. Students will then be ready to take the written test for the California Provisional Instruction Permit at the DMV if they are at least 15.5 years old. The Certificate is good for one year.
  • Please allow a few days for course registration approval. 
 
Course Description

  • The course is divided into 11 units, with a quiz at the end of each unit. Students will need to answer at least 80% of the questions correctly in order to move on to the next unit. After completing all units, there is a 30 question final exam, also requiring a score of 80% to pass. The quizzes and final exam can be taken as many times as necessary in order to pass the course. 
  •  **Please note: 30 hours of instruction are REQUIRED for course completion.**
