New Student Enrollment

Kindergarten or Transitional Kindergarten Enrollment 2025-25 

 

A child must be age 5 on or before September 1, 2025 to enter Kindergarten. (EC Section 48000[a])

A child must be age 4 on or before September 1, 2025 to enter Transitional Kindergarten (as available).

 

  • The first day of school for the 2025-26 school year is Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
  • Kindergarten is a full school day
  • Transitional Kindergarten ends at noon daily
  • After school care until 6PM available daily at all elementary school sites
  • Fridays are early release days
 
Additional documentation needed for registration:
  • Proof of residence within school district boundaries
  • Immunization record
  • Verification of child’s age, any of the following: birth record, birth certificate, passport, or affidavit of parent, guardian, or family member

Fall registration, held at individual schools, usually begins in August, although pre-registration for kindergarten is in the spring for all schools. A child must be age 5 on or before September first to enter kindergarten. (EC Section 48000[a]


Students transferring into the district from another district or state will need their immunization records and should provide a recent report card. Contact the individual school about registration for transfer students.

Please be sure to review the Parent-Student Handbook for important information. This will be distributed from the school sites annually at the start of each school year.
