Community Advisory Committee – What is it? – SELPA / Special Education – Plumas County Office of Education and Plumas Unified School District

The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is an advisory group made up of parents, educators, and community members who provide input to the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA).

What does the CAC do?

Allows for the development and review of the SELPA Local Plan for Special Education.
Assists in parent education and in recruiting parents and other volunteers who may contribute to the implementations of the Local Plan.
Advises the administration of the SELPA regarding the development amendment & the the review of the Local Plan. The SELPA shall review and consider the input from the CAC.
