Fire Science Classes

Portola High School has a yearly Fire Science class where students study fire ecology and behavior and can become Basic 32 certified as Wildland Firefighters. The course is made possible due to the partnership with the Forest Service who offers the Basic 32 Field Day Test to the students each year.

Quincy High School has also offered the Basic 32 Certification Course through their Natural Resources Class in previous years.
