Outdoor Core and Feather River Education Overview

 

Outdoor Core encompasses both Plumas Unified's strategy for Next Generation Science Standards, as well as programs and partnerships with strategic organizations and agencies in the region, to provide a rich diversity of outdoor education for the K-12th graders in Plumas Unified. The unique attributes of our mountain communities provide an opportunity to provide not just a quality education, but a quality mountain education that looks and feels like home. This Feather River Education (FREd) supports teachers to guide every student into becoming a 21st Century mountain kid through and through.
